Who are the people who will teach, guide, challenge, and mentor your student in the next few years? Several times a year, Peabody gives you “face time” with faculty—nearly all of ours teach undergraduates—and administrators who support the student experience outside the classroom. We sponsor special events for parents during freshman move-in, summer orientation, and prospective student open house each April, which give you the opportunity to ask questions, meet other parents, and talk with Student Affairs Dean Ellen Brier and Peabody professors. Our Office of Student Affairs is also the best place to start if parents need referrals to resources on campus, and our staff welcomes your interest.
All prospective undergraduates—including the 1,100 enrolled at Peabody—apply through Vanderbilt University. A convenient single source for the fundamentals (campus map, parking, calendar), it includes tips on easing the transition to college life, the most recent Family Weekend photos, and other valuable information.

We hope this taste of our community will encourage you to get to know us in person. We look forward to your visit!
When The Commons campus opens in the fall of 2008, all first year Vanderbilt students will be part of a dynamic, supportive learning environment located just steps from the Peabody campus.
