Researchers Probe Pay Incentives for Teachers
Performance in the program will be assessed in several ways. Conventional individual course performance measures (such as grades) are coupled with three annual reviews by program faculty who provide performance feedback and a presentation and review of participants' electronic professional portfolios. In addition, each participant must successfully pass a written, closed book, qualifying examination and complete a capstone experience. The former serves to display mastery, synthesis, and application of knowledge and skills gained during the Ed.D. program's first two years. The latter will serve as an opportunity to integrate and use skills gained during the course of the program.
