Peabody's master of education program in Science Education is designed to extend the academic background of science teachers and provide advanced work in science education. Programs of study require 18 semester hours of course work in science and science education. Whether the student is interested in elementary, middle, or secondary areas of science, programs can be designed to fit individual students' interests and career goals.
Major Requirements (18 semester hours)
Course work from science classes taken in the College of Arts and Science and course work from Science Education. Students who have not completed a bachelor's degree major in science or its equivalent within the area of study may be required to complete additional coursework.
Electives (3 semester hours)
Professional Education Core (9 semester hours)
Total is 30 semester hours minimum
