Career Shape: Getting You in Shape for Success in the Real World

Are you ready? Are you prepared to enter the market and begin your career search? Career Shape is an eight month curriculum that prepares you for the many nuances of the job search process. Students will engage in monthly meetings exploring areas of interest and the search process. In addition to these monthly sessions, peer-to-peer support meetings will occur with topics that enhance each monthly session.

Students entering Peabody College graduate programs in the summer and fall will be engaged in the Fall Forum, and spring entrants to Peabody will be part of the Spring Forum.

Topics include Career Assessment and Exploration, Resumé Construction and Cover Communication, Types of Interviews, and Job Search Planning, to name a few.

Resumé Bank

Be sure that you submit your resume to PC². Simply email it to pc2@vanderbilt.edu. It will be in the bank that employers often call to review for particular jobs. You want your résumé to be in the bank!

Without the Career Center I do not think I would be as motivated to constantly network, search for jobs and review and renew my resume and cover letters. Our Career Center has helped me more than the typical career counselor because Prof. Savage understands my degree and personalizes each session to what I am searching for in my future career.
