Researchers Probe Pay Incentives for Teachers
Vanderbilt’s Peabody College has a long tradition of delivering professional development programs. Since the summer of 1914 the campus has hosted a vibrant community of practitioners comprised of individuals who come to Nashville for a portion of our summer term. Participants briefly unplug from their professional lives so they might focus on the theoretical underpinnings of their practice and its implications for their ongoing work.
Our faculty chairs draw heavily from the research literature to inform the design of the PPI experience. This theoretical grounding is always done with an eye toward the utility of research to increasing organizational efficiency.
Over the course of your time with us, you will work with some of the nation’s brightest faculty, senior practitioners, and policymakers. We focus on keeping the scale of the PPI experience such that our summer fellows have meaningful and personal interaction with the assembled institute faculty.
Thank you for visiting our site. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We look forward to seeing you this summer.
Best,

Timothy C. Caboni
