The PTSC lends portable equipment at no cost to all members of the Peabody community in support of instructional, presentation, and research activities. Checkout to persons outside the Peabody community is not available. In order to extend the life of the equipment and assure it's availability when needed for official activities, personal use of checkout equipment is not permitted. Included in the inventory are still and video digital cameras, tripods, LCD projectors, audio recorders, Personal Response Systems, laptop computers, microphones, and other related devices. Digital video cameras and tripods are the most popular items.
Peabody faculty, staff, and students may reserve equipment by phone (32)2-6600 or in person at the PTSC Helpdesk located in the Wyatt Center Addition. Equipment should be reserved at least 3 days in advance. Checkout time is limited and is determined by the demand for the item(s) being checked out.
The PTSC Helpdesk sells media at low cost -- DVD-R, CD-R, Videocassettes, Analog audio cassettes, Mini-Digital Video tapes, and Digital Audio Tapes.
Helpdesk and computer lab personel can also assist you in learning how to transcode and copy media.
