The Peabody campus is extremely well connected! All classrooms, presentation and conference rooms, laboratories, and offices have 100Mb hard-wired connections. The Wyatt Center alone has nearly 1000 hard-wired ports. Although not all are "hot," the strategic placement of this large number of ports allows for very flexible access to the campus high-speed network.
Peabody was the first VU college or school to install ubiqitous 802.11g (high speed) wireless networking. All interior and exterior spaces at Peabody are within range of a wireless AP. Accessing the network requires that computers be configured for an SSID connection. Information on making that connection is found on the VU Information Technology Services (ITS) site under the topic "Campus Wireless Lan deployment."
