HEA 1st and 2nd Year Students celebrating the end of Fall Semester
College students and their families today view themselves as consumers, and institutions must continuously analyze and upgrade services made available to students. Utilizing theory and practical application, this specialization prepares students for positions related to housing, student and Greek life, multicultural affairs, international student services, and admissions.
The enrollment management concentration enables students to understand how the tools and techniques of enrollment management can help to recruit, admit and graduate students in a way that enhances the educational mission of an institution of higher education. Students in this concentration will study both the practical implementation of enrollment management and the broader strategic concerns about which enrollment managers must be aware. Graduates of this program will be prepared for work in admissions offices, development, student or institutional research, among other career options.
General Administration and Policy
The concentration in general administration and policy is designed for students who wish to combine the study of higher education administration with an interest in another substantive area or discipline. Students in this area work closely with their academic adviser to select two courses (6 hours) that meet their professional interests and aspirations.
We host a Masters Students Open House every November for interested students to learn about professional education at Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College. There is also a Masters Visits Weekend every February for all newly admitted students. To participate in these events, please contact Rachel Manlove email@example.com .
