Solution Summary

• Create a design or model for the builders. Provide a top view of the lot, the playground and each piece of equipment.
  
• Provide a front and side view of the equipment, complete with relevant angles, lengths and depths.

The Challenge is for students to help Christina and Marcus design a playground and ball field for a vacant lot. Blueprint for Success involves basic linear measurement, understanding and creating scale representations, and opportunities to explore the relationships among linear, area and volume measurement. It provides a motivating entrance into the world of geometry, with hands-on classroom activities and challenges that can be extended for more advanced students.
