Quantitative Research Methods and Introduction to Statistics I

Description:
This course provides an in-depth analysis of quantitative research methods employed in nursing and health-related research, focusing on topics such as design, sampling, and instrumentation. It includes univariate descriptive statistics and an introduction to bivariate parametric and nonparametric inferential statistics for use with research designs relevant to the health sciences. ? Students will begin work on a project to develop a research instrument, and will also write the first draft of a methodological section of a research proposal, including the IRB submission. Students will also critique quantitative research manuscripts and proposals. ? Offered SPRING odd years.Wallston.
