Diana Jones is a graduate student in the doctoral program of Community, Research & Action at Vanderbilt University. She is originally from Flint, MI and earned a B.A. in Psychology from Adrian College, a M.A. in Sociology from Emory University and a Master's of Theological Studies from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University. Her research interests focus on 1) issues of religion and spirituality, 2) dynamics of decision making, participation, and personal agency, and 3) the ecology of health behavior and access to care. Her current research, under the direction of Professors Paul Dokecki and Paul Speer, is on congregation based community organizing.
Diana has taught and collaborated on courses in a wide range of academic settings, including Vanderbilt University, Emory University, Agnes Scott College, Oglethorpe University, and Georgia Perimeter College in Atlanta. Her courses have included Introduction to Sociology, Social Problems, Deviance and Social Control, Research Methods, Action Research, Community Development, and the Political Economy of Women in Development.
