Effective Fall 2009, the Department of Teaching and Learning has incorporated the following majors into a single major, Learning and Instruction
Students who seek a career in education after obtaining a four-year liberal arts degree that did not include teacher licensure should visit the Master's Degree + Teacher Licensure option.
Note:
In all M.Ed. programs, students take courses from a common professional core, a major, and electives for a minimum of 30 semester hours of post-baccalaureate credit. Programs of study are planned in consultation with the student's faculty advisor. M.Ed. students have the option of completing a capstone experience or writing a thesis. At least 15 hours of courses must be courses intended exclusively for graduate and professional students (3000-level courses). Post-baccalaureate credit is defined as that coursework listed in the Peabody College bulletin and the Graduate School bulletin.
