Short Biography
Bill's research interests currently center on attraction, retention, and motivation of employees. Data is currently being collected from former employees of 19 organizations across the country. Participating organizations are primarily, but not entirely, in the healthcare industry. He is also conducting a study of the effectiveness of several branch career centers in Tennessee that serve the unemployed and underemployed throughout Middle Tennessee. Bill is part of a team of Vanderbilt faculty conducting a 3-year study of the effects of a wellness program on anxiety, depression, and spiritual well-being. Prior research includes extensive proprietary research in patient, physician, and employee satisfaction in healthcare organizations (over 100 hospitals).
