Vera's research interest focuses on career development over the life span and issues of cultural competency for health care organizations, particularly as it relates to partnerships between profits and nonprofits and between nonprofits with radically different histories and cultures. She has used the Meharry-Vanderbilt Alliance as a primary case-study model.
