Professor Eyler's scholarly work has focused on various forms of experiential learning including several studies of internships and service-learning in higher education. She has co-directed a national FIPSE-funded service-learning research project and a Corporation for National Service project on learning outcomes for college students. The focus of her recent research has been on the impact of service-learning on civic engagement, cognitive development, problem solving, and transfer of learning.
Professor Eyler teaches courses in the Human Resource Development and Higher Education graduate programs and both Leadership Track and core courses in the undergraduate program in Human and Organizational Development.
