Professor Freudenthal earned an Ed.D. (1991) and M.Ed. (1987) in Human Development Counseling from Vanderbilt University and a B.A. in Psychology from Hiram College (1975). As Adjunct Assistant Professor she teaches graduate courses in Counseling Diverse Populations. Professor Freudenthal, a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 25 years experience in working with youth and families, directs Oasis Center's counseling and prevention services. Judy was named the 2002 Prevention Professional of the Year for Middle Tennessee by the Tennessee Department of Health. She serves on numerous community and statewide committees, and is on the board of Homework Hotline.
