The Department of Human and Organizational Development is a group of interdisciplinary programs that share a focus on organizations and the people who constitute them.
The department, in conjunction with the Department of Leadership, Policy, and Organizations, offers the undergraduate major in Human and Organizational Development. Within the major are tracks in Community Leadership and Development; Health and Human Services; International Leadership and Development; Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness; and Public Policy. There is a required internship for all HOD majors.
The department's graduate programs include: master's in Human Development Counseling with specializations in Community Counseling and School Counseling (Pre K-12); master's in Community Development Action; and Ph.D. in Community Research and Action.
All departmental offices are located in the Mayborn Building on the Peabody campus. The main departmental office is located in Room 206; the graduate programs office is located in Room 203; the undergraduate major office is located in Room 203; and the internship office is located in Room 104.
