Short Biography

Ellen M. Brier currently serves as Assistant Dean for Student Affairs of Vanderbilt University's Peabody College. Her career spans from the classroom to the board room and across institutional types. She has taught in Higher Education Administration programs at Syracuse University and Vanderbilt University.

She has authored and co authored a book, book chapters, and articles on a range of topics including academic and professional writing and college student retention. She currently serves on the Associate Editor of the Journal of General Education.
