Computer Systems Administrator I

Matt is one of the Peabody Technology Support Center's Local Service Providers. LSPs provide direct desktop support for faculty, staff and students in the teaching departments and the college administrative offices. Each LSP is assigned two major departments/offices. They recommend, purchase, install and configure computers, printers, and other peripheral devices. In addition, they are responsible for any servers located in their areas and for local administration of the file backup systems. They are the first lines of defense when desktop, network, and local server problems arise. They assist users in their interface with college and university systems such as OASIS, e-mail, VUspace, Prometheus, the Student Information System, and others.
