Andrea Houseman

Research Analyst, Peabody Research Institute

Andrea has been employed with PRI since 2012. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Tennessee, and a Master of Arts degree in Anthropology and Women’s and Gender Studies from Brandeis University.

 Andrea currently works on the Data Modeling project at PRI, designed for teaching statistical reasoning to sixth grade students and is being implemented in classrooms in Arizona. Her work involves tracking and checking research data, as well as scheduling data collection implementation. She also designs and updates databases for storing collected research data and runs reports for research analysis.

 Prior to joining PRI, Andrea worked in a group home setting for adolescent girls, and at the Girl Scouts of Tanasi Council. These work experiences along with her Master’s program have given her the desire is to engage in research that could lead to implementation of effective programs for adolescents  to promote community engagement, enhance self-esteem and improve their overall well-being.
