Brian Smokler

Brian serves the university in two capacities. As Peabody's Manager of Instructional Systems, he is responsible for all non-computer technology used at the college. He designs, implements, and supports classroom technology systems and assists faculty and students as they use those systems. He is also responsible for videoconferencing systems on campus and the videotaping of campus events for archival purposes. Brian is administrator of the college's computerized access control system. He also assists faculty with video-related projects.

As Technical Manager for VU Public Affairs News, Brian operates and maintains a satellite/fiber optic broadcast transmission system used for live video news feeds and an audio production studio used for ISDN live feeds to national news organizations. He also produces, shoots, and edits material for distribution via broadcast, tape, DVD, and streaming media.
