Research

Dr. Duncan’s research areas include best practices in school counseling, counseling supervision, and work with marginalized students in the post-secondary transition process.

Teaching

Dr. Duncan has been involved in the counseling profession for over 30 years including work as a school counselor and counselor educator. She has taught face-to-face and online counseling courses since 2003. She teaches pre-practicum, internship, exceptional education and the DSM, school counseling foundations, and human development.

Service

Dr. Duncan has been highly involved in professional counseling organizations at the state, region and national level. She served on the American Counseling Association Governing Council for two terms and is a former chair of the Midwest Region of the American Counseling Association.
