Congratulations on your admission to the Master of Public Policy (M.P.P.) in Education Policy program at Vanderbilt University's Peabody College!

Our program brings together the theoretical and analytical tools typical of other M.P.P. programs across the country, with a focus on education policymaking at the K-12 and higher education levels. As an M.P.P. student, you will:

  • Experience a dynamic interdisciplinary curriculum
  • Build a strong set of skills to address our nation's most pressing educational problems
  • Take classes with engaged faculty whose research and policy work speak to central education policy issues, and
  • Gain access to a variety of opportunities to connect to the "real world" education policy community outside the classroom

You will also join a close-knit community in the Department of Leadership, Policy, and Organizations, whose Education Policy program was ranked second by U.S. News and World Report in 2023.

Most importantly, you would become a member of a great cohort of students. The most significant offering of our program to our students is access to one another. Our students are smart, talented, and committed to improving educational systems. They go on to hold amazing leadership positions at the local, state, and national levels and often stay closely connected to our program. As such, you will have many opportunities to network with our stellar alumni network.

I hope you will join us! If I can answer any questions about the program, please be in touch.

Best regards,

Emily House
