Creating Conditions for Effective State Support for School Turnaround

DECEMBER 13-14, 2017

TERA engaged researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to discuss how states and districts can better support successful school turnaround. TERA gathered teams from state departments of education, including turnaround, policy, and research staff, and their research partners from several states - Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, and Tennessee. The convening included prominent scholars in three focus areas of non-academic support, educator pipelines, and school governance structures.
