Congratulations on being admitted to the Learning and Design M.Ed. Program at Vanderbilt University's Peabody College!

We are thrilled that you have chosen to apply to this unique program and look forward to your arriving to learn with us this July. Our program supports students to develop the theoretical and analytical tools necessary for designing learning environments in light of relevant and challenging issues in education and that are responsive to the needs of diverse student populations.

As a Learning and Design M.Ed. student, you will:

  • Engage with faculty in learning innovative research that attends to elements of design thinking and analysis of design with a focus on diversity and how people learn
  • Graduate with the knowledge and skills to contribute to and create rich learning environments in and out of school
  • Become part of an incredible community of educators and professionals with a variety of backgrounds and educational interests

Graduates of the Learning and Design M.Ed. program choose careers that range from designing curricula both in and out of school, leading non-traditional learning experiences, teaching in K-12 contexts, or pursuing advanced degrees in research and design through a Ph.D. program.

I hope you will join us at Peabody! If I can answer any further questions, please reach out to me and visit our program's website shown below.

Best regards,
