Welcome to Peabody College and congratulations on being accepted into the World Languages with ESL endorsement M.Ed. program. We are delighted about the prospect of your joining our vibrant community. Distinguished by its close-knit community and cohort model, our programmatic focus will encourage you to think about how language education is a vital part of the educational landscape, continually focusing on issues of equity and social justice as critical tenets of this work. We will endeavor to do this through rich coursework and meaningful partnerships with Nashville area schools and by fostering your sense of the art and craft of teaching.

The landscape of education is like none other, and embarking on the journey of becoming a language educator is significant. We believe that your presence at Peabody will grow your sense of who you are as an educator alongside faculty and outstanding peers as we together navigate the challenges faced by K-12 students and schools.

Please reach out with any questions you might have. I look forward to working together.

Warmly,
Becky Peterson

What has been the highlight of your program thus far? I've really enjoyed getting to meet my classmates and people in my cohort. I've loved getting to know them as people and as future educators, discovering their passions and perspectives, and gaining who will hopefully become lifelong colleagues and friends.
