Dr. Kim Davenport is a Senior HR leader with 20+ years in energy management/industrial automation, retail, automotive, financial services, and telecommunications industries. Dr. Davenport has a track record of driving sustainable results and adapting HR knowledge in variety of organizational environments including Global Fortune 500 firms. Before joining the Peabody College faculty, Dr. Davenport led people transformation for Schneider-Electric, a global $30B firm, transforming a $3B product management division from hardware focus to customer applications. Dr. Davenport has also built Talent Management functions for the Global Leverage organization at Walmart Inc., a $524B firm and Nissan a $90B firm.
Professor Davenport is an advocate of organizational success balanced with the needs of employees. Her expertise includes talent strategies aligned with growth or turnaround business goals, culture alignment and inclusion, transformational change management, and organization redesign. Dr. Davenport is the Co-author of two books, Global Business Citizenship (2006, ME Sharp) and Focused Quality: Managing for Results, (1994 John Wiley & Sons). Professor Davenport is an avid cyclist and Nashville enthusiast.
