Part-Time Graduate Research Assistant (Hourly) | |
The Black Women's Educational Experiences in Geoscience Project seeks applicants for a part-time graduate research assistant position (5-10 hours/week) compensated at $20/hour. All Vanderbilt masters/professional, students are eligible to apply. Hired research assistants will contribute to the Black Wom*n's Educational Experiences in Geoscience which is funded by the Bonsal Dissertation Research Grant. This qualitative study explores the educational experiences of Black women who have earned one (or more) postsecondary degree in the geosciences. All work from research assistants can be completed remotely. Responsibilities for the research assistantship include: (i) conducting individual and group interviews, (ii) qualitatively analyzing data, (iii) writing findings for peer-reviewed publications and presentations, and (iv) completing various organizational and administrative duties. Prior experience with interviewing is preferred but not required. Black and/or wom*n and STEM students are encouraged to apply.
