Start Date: March 3, 2024 Training for Assessments: March 11, 2024 in OMC 241, 8:30am – 3:00pm Posttesting Begins: March 24, 2024 Posttesting Ends: May 9, 2024 (tentative – might be extended a week to any missed assessments)

Description: Student testers needed for an After School Reading Intervention Project. Seeking applicants to fill a temporary position for assessment administrators on a study for kindergarten, first, second, third, fourth, and fifth grade students attending after school programs in Metro Nashville Public Schools.

Responsibilities: The test administration position includes administering a series of reading, vocabulary, and language assessment measures at participating YMCA FUN Co Programs (in MNPS school buildings). Training will be provided. Hours will include approximately 10-15 hrs/week for approximately 4-6 weeks starting at the end of March until the beginning of May. Availability should include weekday afternoons, between 2:30pm – 6:00pm. Pay is $14-16/hr. Experience with field-based educational research with elementary children is especially desirable but not required. Candidates must have passed mandatory background checks and fingerprinting for the academic year 2024-2025. Transportation IS NECESSARY with travel reimbursement (excluding ridesharing).
