The Nashville Partnership for Educational Equity Research has a Graduate Research Assistant position available for Spring and Summer 2025.

Program Description:

Nashville PEER brings researchers and educators together as partners to understand and disrupt educational inequities so that every student thrives. This research-practice partnership engages educators, families, students, and the community with researchers to examine long-standing problems, understand their complexities, and help district and community leaders make equity-centered decisions at the school and district levels. Researchers and educational leaders in PEER’s Supporting Educators Working Group are working collaboratively to support instructional leadership teams in MNPS high schools to optimize supports for continuous instructional improvement in mathematics classrooms.

Position Description:

Work with Dr. Jennifer Russell to support the working group’s collaborative research by:

• Assist with data cleaning, analysis, management, and reporting. Should have strong skills in Excel and (preferably) basic statistical analyses.

• Participate in literature review and synthesis

• Attend and take quality notes at relevant meetings and events.

• Contribute to writing policy briefs, evidence reviews, and research reports.

• Provide other support as needed.

This is a hybrid position requiring some in person meetings and remote work.

Hours and Pay Rate: Master’s Students: $18 / hour for up to 20 hours per week; Undergraduate Students: $16 / hour for up to 19 hours per week.
