Research Assistant | |
Dr. Autumn Kujawa’s Mood, Emotion, & Development Lab is hiring 2-4 master’s student research assistants (RAs) for ongoing clinical studies on depression and related psychopathology in youth and families. Positions require a minimum 2-year commitment, 10-15 hours/week, including evening/weekend shifts and Friday lab meetings (10 AM and 11 AM, also 2 PM for CARE). Hourly pay is provided. Available RA Roles (Project descriptions: moodemotionlab.com/research/projects) PATH Study RA – Conducts interviews on suicidal thoughts and behavior (SITBI) and life stress (KSADS trauma, LSI); leads mobile EEG assessments with adolescents (13-17) in acute psychiatric treatment (in-patient and partial hospital). Key times: 11:30 AM-1:30 PM / 2-4 PM weekdays plus some evenings/weekends. Preferred: Flexibility with scheduling, strong interpersonal skills, mental health crisis-related experience (e.g., crisis textline). CARE Study RA – Conducts virtual diagnostic interviews (SCID, KSADS) with parents of 4-8-year-olds and leads lab visits (EEG, parent-child interactions). Preferred: Experience working with young children, strong interpersonal skills. Pregnancy to Parenthood Study RA – Conducts virtual diagnostic (SCID) and stress (LEDS) interviews with pregnant/postpartum people, leads EEG assessments, and collects hair samples for hormone assays. Requires learning 4 EEG batteries and multiple interviews. Preferred: Fast learners, detail-oriented, strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
