Designed for those who want to practice ABA in educational settings or are specifically interested in training focused on school-based applications that integrate best ABA and SPED practices.

Students seeking endorsement or licensure as special education teachers in our master's program in special education are eligible to participate in an add-on specialization in applied behavior analysis (ABA). While they study educational science to prepare for work as classroom teachers, instructional coaches, or other practitioner roles, students in the ABA specialization also study behavioral science through an educational lens.

The Child Studies master's program offers two track options: the Clinical and Developmental Research Track and the Applied Professional Track. Specializing in applied behavior analysis is also an option within the Applied Professional Track. Applied Professional Track- designed for students whose academic and professional goals include preparation for careers working directly with children and families, this program option offers students opportunities for scholarly didactic and in-depth, supervised professional experiences in child and family service organizations.
