In large part because of my experiences at Vanderbilt and Peabody, I was immediately asked to join initiatives aimed to improve the culture and performance of our organization.

Before attending Peabody, I taught 7th and 8th grade math in Charlotte, North Carolina, through Teach for America. While teaching, I became interested in the impact that leadership and culture had on performance, specifically in the context of student achievement. While at Vanderbilt, I had the opportunity to work as a Recruiting Coordinator at the Career Center, where I was able to apply the theories and strategies we were learning about in our LOP classes through the creation of a strategic plan around diversity and inclusion. Ultimately, I was able to leverage my classroom learning and hands on experience into a role supporting tech staffing at Google in Austin, Texas. In large part because of my experiences at Vanderbilt and Peabody, I was immediately asked to join initiatives aimed to improve the culture and performance of our organization.
