David Liu

L&D provided a theoretical and practical basis to understand effective teaching and learning. Specifically, how curriculum, environment, and relationships between participants affect learning. It introduced me to the use of qualitative research to understand learning interactions in a complex environment like a patient bedside. I was able to use this knowledge immediately when mentoring junior medical school students in designing activities, learning goals, and expectations. L&D provided an invaluable step for me to develop as a medical educator.
