The program flipped the question of education from “How do people teach?” to “How do people learn?” And how can we facilitate learning inside and outside of classrooms?” I specifically picked this program because it takes into account not only the teacher, curriculum, and student, but also the environment and context in which learning is taking place. This fits really well with the Montessori teaching philosophy, and I am excited to apply the questioning and strategies I learned during the program to my new position as a lead upper elementary Montessori teacher at St. Stephens Episcopal School.
