Richard Feldser

Rick Feldser has worked at Vanderbilt University in numerous capacities since 2001 and joined the PRI staff as a Research Analyst in 2009. He holds a B.S. and a M.S. from Jacksonville State University. Rick is a retired U.S. Army Officer Healthcare Personnel Officer and has worked in the healthcare recruitment industry prior to working at Vanderbilt University.

During his time at PRI, Rick has worked on a number of projects across several focal areas: (1) Tennessee Voluntary Pre-k Study; (2) PRI Middle School Math Follow-up Study; (3) Tennessee Pre-k Expansion Study; and (4) State Pre-k Follow-up Study. He currently works on both the State Pre-k Follow-up Study and the PRI Middle School Follow-Up Study and is the parent and school contact liaison. The State Pre-k Follow-up Study is a longitudinal study investigating the effectiveness of Pre-k from grades 3 thru 7, with a large sample of children statewide who participated in a previous pre-k study. The Middle School Follow-up Study is a longitudinal study from grades 5-8 investigating middle grades mathematics achievement and cognitive abilities in a large sample of children who participated in a previous study of early math skills.
