Bridget Gorokhovsky is the Program Director for the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program, a Fulbright exchange program for educational leaders from developing countries.
Prior to her work at Vanderbilt, Bridget specialized in Collaborative Education with a special emphasis on faculty development. She had been a Team Leader and Teacher Mentor at Stevenson High School near Chicago, and was there immersed in “Professional Learning Communities” spearheaded by the school’s superintendent Rick DuFour. Subsequently she taught for the University of Illinois, provided leadership for opening Cambridge High School near Atlanta, and served as Assistant Principal for Ravenwood High School, a National Blue-Ribbon school near Nashville. The Collaborative Education approach to which she ascribes strives for continual learning and collaboration among educators, and through them, continual collaborative learning among those they teach.
Bridget’s academic degrees include a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy from Vanderbilt, a Master’s in Educational Leadership from the University of Illinois, a Master’s in International Business Administration from Brighton England, and a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish Language and Literature from Northern Illinois University. She also studied at the University of Celaya, Mexico as part of a Rotary International exchange program, and was awarded a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship for advanced study in England. She remains a member of Rotary International, a world-wide organization dedicated to service and fellowship. She has been active in her community, working particularly with First Responders.
