Fatima Mendoza

Fatima Mendoza is a Licensed Dyslexia Therapist and a Certified Academic Language Therapist. She received her bachelor of arts in psychology from the University of Houston and her master’s degree in early childhood with a bilingual endorsement from Roosevelt University in Chicago. Mrs. Mendoza has 15 years of experience in education. She has taught in public schools and private practice. Mrs. Mendoza served as a dyslexia specialist at Spring Branch ISD. She was a reading interventionist and teacher specialist at Houston ISD. Before these roles, she was a bilingual education teacher at Spring ISD and Chicago Public Schools. As Mrs. Mendoza says, “I have a passion for teaching and learning. My instructional approach follows the principles of intensive intervention using the Orton-Gillingham methodology.”
