Grace Patton

MPP

Grace is a Nashville native and is thrilled to be studying Education Policy at Vanderbilt. She received her undergraduate degree in English and Political Science from the University of Tennessee, then entered the education world by teaching 7th grade English in Antioch Tennessee. Her experience in the classroom motivated her to pursue a law degree, so she graduated from Belmont College of Law in 2022. During her time in law school, she had the opportunity to clerk with the Tennessee State Board of Education’s general counsel and the Tennessee Court of Appeals. She also completed a collaborative internship with a local firm and the Tennessee Higher Education in Prisons Initiative. She now works in TIX and equity compliance for Belmont University. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with friends, cooking, and painting.
