Jacob Rubin

Jacob Rubin is a Ph.D. student in the Education Policy and Leadership program at Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College. His research interests include teacher recruitment and retention, pathways to the principalship, and the influence of social norms/biases on student and staff outcomes. Specifically, his research borrows methods in econometrics and data science to analyze educational inequality and predict educational outcomes.

Prior to his doctoral studies, Jacob worked as a full-stack software engineer in web/mobile app development and completed research as a graduate student researcher for the UCLA Center for Community Schooling.
