Interdisciplinary Studies Prepare Students To Address Real-world Issues

PhD Student, Education Policy,
University of Pennsylvania

Completing this program was one of the best decisions I have made in my professional life.

I’m a Ph.D. student in Education Policy at the University of Pennsylvania. My research interests include improving educational outcomes for young children by evaluating large-scale early childhood programs. I am particularly interested in program evaluation and cost/cost-effectiveness research.

There are two things that make the Peabody Difference. First, the faculty at Peabody are all-stars! I had phenomenal, world-class faculty members in every class I took. Faculty members went above and beyond for their students. Second, because Peabody includes schools of education, psychology, and human and organizational development, coursework and research are interdisciplinary. This mirrors the real world because issues in education and human development are not siloed into single systems or institutions.

Completing this program was one of the best decisions I have made in my professional life. I am truly grateful to Peabody and all of the doors it opened for me!
