Ms. Nazia Zaman of Pakistan joins the Humphrey Fellowship as a mid-career civil servant with over a decade of experience in public administration, primarily focused on education policy and reform.

She has led high-impact initiatives to modernize school infrastructure, tackle chronic teacher absenteeism, and broaden access to quality education in Sindh’s most underserved regions.

Ms. Zaman has closely collaborated with international partners including the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, and USAID to implement education-driven programs that have delivered measurable impact at the grassroots level.

She holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from the National University of Singapore, a master’s in Development Studies from the University of London – SOAS, and a master’s in Economics from the University of Balochistan.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Karachi.

Through the Humphrey Fellowship, she aims to deepen her expertise in education policy, leadership, and technology integration, while gaining practical exposure to institutions known for pioneering educational innovations.

Ms. Zaman plans to apply these insights to bridge policy and implementation gaps, build collaborative networks, and lead long-term improvements in educational access and outcomes across Pakistan, particularly in marginalized provinces.
