
Shilpa Patwardhan, Ed.M.
Executive Director of the Peabody Leadership Institute; Assistant Dean of Strategic Enrollment Management
Shilpa Patwardhan has 26 years of experience in learning technology and innovation within the private sector and higher education, specializing in online and professional education. She earned a Master of Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education and an undergraduate degree from Rachana Sansad’s Academy of Architecture in India. Prior to her role at Peabody College, she founded revLDesign, a learning design consultancy, and served as the Senior Head of Learning Innovation at CFA Institute.
Shilpa has a proven track record in managing online learning initiatives across various higher education institutions. As the inaugural Connected Learning Director at Wharton Executive Education, she launched a portfolio of online certificates for senior business executives. Additionally, in her role as Associate Director of Academic Services at Deltak, she oversaw the design and development of multiple online master’s and doctoral programs for partner schools. At CFA Institute, she established a portfolio of online professional learning certificates tailored for the investment management and finance industry.
Shilpa serves as the Assistant Dean and Executive Director of the Peabody Leadership Institute. She is also the interim Assistant Dean of Strategic Enrollment Management.
Peabody Leadership Institute (PLI)
The PLI advances Peabody’s mission of leadership preparation and professional field engagement through developing and offering virtual, in -person, and hybrid non-degree professional education, including certificates, micro-credentials, and short courses across Peabody’s five academic departments.
PLI collaborates with college leadership, faculty, and campus partners to:
- develop and implement innovative non-degree online, hybrid and in-person learning opportunities with national and global reach
- cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including faculty, students, alumni, community organizations, industry, and philanthropic partners
- develop and analyze the markets around non-degree professional offerings
Enrollment Management
The Office of Enrollment Management undertakes a comprehensive and data-driven approach to attract, admit, retain, and graduate professional and doctoral students for the college. The office uses strategic planning and data analytics to forecast enrollment trends, inform marketing tactics, leverage information technology and CRMs, and streamline workflows and communication. Enrollment Management incorporates admissions, digital marketing, social media marketing, and aspects of the student experience (in coordination with Peabody Student Life). This office also works closely with the Office of Data Analytics and the Peabody Communications Office.
