Ms. Stavri Panayiotou of Cyprus joins the Humphrey Fellowship as an educator with the Cyprus Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth, committed to equity, innovation, and inclusive education. With over a decade of experience in teaching and educational administration, she has led initiatives in curriculum development, strategic planning, and policy reform. As both an educator and administrator, Ms. Panayiotou has worked to improve literacy, critical thinking, and student outcomes across diverse learning environments, including those serving refugee and multilingual student populations.
Ms. Panayiotou holds a master’s degree in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics from the University of Cyprus and is currently pursuing a second master’s degree in Creative Arts and Animation at Global College in Cyprus. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in English Language and Linguistics from the University of Essex in the United Kingdom.
During her Humphrey Fellowship, Ms. Panayiotou plans to focus on advanced pedagogical techniques, inclusive education policy, and educational leadership. She aims to study best practices in managing diverse classrooms, applying evidence-based strategies, and driving systemic education reforms. She envisions building long-term international partnerships to help transform the Cypriot education system and prepare the next generation for success in a global society.
