Brenda McKenzie has over 20 years of professional experience in higher education/student affairs with experience in the areas of leadership development, orientation/new student programs, residence life, student activities, and fraternity and sorority life. Her teaching focuses on the education and development of emerging higher education professionals. Her research interests include college student leadership development, women and leadership, socialization of new student affairs professionals, and the development of multicultural competency skills in student affairs educators. Current research initiatives include higher education/student affairs graduate student professional identity development, and college student leadership identity development.
