The Writing Studio and Tutoring Services office is seeking a Graduate or Professional Student Worker, (Federal Work Study preferred), to serve as Graduate Assistant for the Tutoring Services program. Working closely with the Assistant Director for Tutoring Services, the Graduate Assistant will support the program, its operations, and its undergraduate tutors in Chemistry, Biological Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, and Neuroscience, helping develop learning support modules and training workshops focusing on STEM education.

The Tutoring Services Graduate Assistant is responsible for supporting a select number of day-to-day administrative activities of the Assistant Director of Tutoring Services as well as various projects and initiatives throughout the academic year. This position assists Tutoring Services in fulfilling its mission of building an accessible, engaging, and research-informed space that serves the wider Vanderbilt community in STEM tutoring. The Tutoring Services Graduate Assistant is highly organized, team-oriented and is able to respond to in-the-moment team needs. This position has responsibilities that will contribute to Tutoring Services’ peer tutors’ education and professional development.
