Master’s Student Research Assistant positions available at Dr. Laurie Cutting’s Education and Brain Sciences Research Lab. We are currently hiring for several openings on different teams within our lab, all of which will require working directly with children and/or families, and performing data collection with these groups. Duties would include a combination of the following, depending on the role: a) administering standardized academic and cognitive assessments to school-age students b) implementing a reading tutoring intervention with 1st-grade struggling readers c) acclimating participants to MRI scan procedures through mock MRI scans d) accompanying participants to mock and real MRI scans e) welcoming and engaging with participant families, as well as providing administrative support While the current positions are for the 2025-2026 academic year, we hope to hire students who have the ability and interest to stay beyond August 2026 (subject to available funding, and provided the RA performs well and continues to meet availability requirements). We ask that an RA have at least 2 full days of availability each week (8-4pm) and be available at least 1 Saturday/month and one evening/week (4-7pm). From the end of March through May, the positions are 10 hours/week and pay $950/month stipend. If employment continues into summer, the positions are 20 hours/week and pay either (1) 70% of 9 credit hours tuition support + $950/month student salary, or (2) $1833/month student salary.
