Communications Coordinator for the Improvement Scholars Network (ISN) Job Title: Communications Coordinator Organization: Improvement Scholars Network (ISN) Position Type: Hourly; 10 hours/week About the ISN - The Improvement Scholars Network (ISN) is a vibrant community of educational researchers dedicated to innovative improvement in learning environments. Our members collaborate to advance educational practices through research, knowledge sharing, and professional development. Position Summary - ISN seeks a talented and detail-oriented Communications Coordinator to support our growing network. You’ll play a central role in keeping our members engaged and informed, managing communication channels, and amplifying our program’s impact via email, newsletter, and social media. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about educational research and eager to contribute to a collaborative and mission-driven team. Key Responsibilities/Qualifications: Email Management: Monitor, respond to, and organize messages in the ISN email account, ensuring timely replies and efficient handling of queries. Database & Listserv Administration: Maintain and update the ISN member database and manage the listserv for network communications. Newsletter Creation: Design, draft, and distribute quarterly newsletters using My Emma email marketing platform, sharing updates and opportunities with members. Announcement Coordination: Oversee and review announcement requests submitted via Google Forms, sending timely communications as appropriate. Social Media Growth: Develop, schedule, and post engaging content on ISN’s LinkedIn and other social platforms to grow our digital presence and member engagement. Team Collaboration: Attend weekly ISN team meetings and coordinate with team members as needed to support communication needs. Required Qualifications: Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for accuracy in communications and database management. Communication Savvy: Excellent written communication, with a creative and professional voice. Interest in Education: A curiosity and enthusiasm for educational research, improvement, and professional learning. Social Media Fluency: Practical knowledge of LinkedIn and common social platforms, with an interest in building online communities. Preferred Qualifications: Technical Skill: Experience using My Emma or similar email marketing tools; preferred but not required. Terms of employment: Appointment begins in February and continues through the end of 2026, with the possibility of renewal in 2027. Open to candidates who can only work through spring semester or through the summer, but prefer a commitment through the end of the calendar year. 10 hours per week. All activities can be completed remotely.
