Undergraduate Students

Students may work in the Children's Learning Lab for course credit. A weekly commitment of three hours per credit hour is required (i.e., six hours a week for two credits or nine hours a week for three credits). Students gain valuable research experience that is relevant to many future careers. It's also fun! People with Federal Work Study may work for pay. If you are interested in working in our lab, contact Dr. Bethany Rittle-Johnson regarding openings.

Prospective undergraduate research assistant applicants are asked to read the background research article below and complete the following activity. When you have completed the task, please email your work to learninglab@vanderbilt.edu, tell us about your research interests, let us know how many hours you're interested in working, and whether you have Work Study.

Be sure to check with your advisor, but you will likely be registering for PSY-PC 3860. All students earning Peabody degrees and/or enrolled in Peabody classes must get a background check through the background clearance office. Prospective Lab Coordinators (and Master-Level Graduate Assistants) 

Lab coordinator positions are ideal for those holding a Bachelor's degree and wish to gain valuable research experience. This is typically a full-time position with a 1-2 year commitment. If you are interested in working as a lab coordinator for our lab, please contact Dr. Bethany Rittle-Johnson regarding openings.
