Applications are open for Fall 2026 and are reviewed on a rolling basis. Admissions decisions are communicated in 4-6 weeks.

Residential Programs

Peabody also offers residential versions of our ABA, IDeaTE and MLE programs. These are separate programs with their own courses, schedules, and admissions processes. For more information about the similarities and differences between the online and on-campus versions of these programs, please see their respective program landing pages. 

Scholarship Information

Peabody College is committed to increasing access to high quality higher education for working professionals. All students admitted to all programs, both residential and online, are automatically considered for applicable scholarships. No separate application is needed, and Peabody College does not charge an application fee for professional masters and Ed.D. programs.

In 2025, 97.4 percent of admitted students seeking financial aid received scholarship offers, with 86.6 percent receiving awards of 35 percent or higher.

  • Eligible Scholarships

    At this time, the scholarships outlined below are not applicable to the Online Ed.D. in Leadership and Learning in Organizations (LLO). A limited number of merit scholarships are available for the LLO program and if awarded, further information is included in the admit letter.

    The following scholarships are available for all other online programs:

    • Merit Scholarships: Peabody College offers merit scholarships to all academically deserving students. If awarded, information is included in the admissions letter.
    • Nashville Metropolitan Area K-12 Public School Scholarship: Applicants admitted to the eligible online master’s degree programs and who work fulltime, in good standing, in any role, in a public, K-12 school in one of the counties identified as part of the Nashville Metropolitan Area will be awarded a partial tuition scholarship for the minimum number of hours to complete their degree. Specifically, these counties are Cannon, Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Hickman, Macon, Maury, Robertson, Rutherford, Smith, Sumner, Trousdale, Williamson, and Wilson.
    • Alumni Scholarships: All Vanderbilt alumni admitted to the eligible online professional masters programs at Peabody College of education and human development are eligible for a guaranteed 20% discount.
    • Special Awards: Students applying for online programs who have successfully completed (or will have completed by the time of enrollment) service with one of the seven programs listed below are guaranteed to receive a partial tuition scholarship. Students must meet the same requirements as for other Peabody tuition scholarships in order for the award to continue past the first enrolled semester.
      • AmeriCorps Award (minimum 30% award)
      • Bonner Foundation Award (minimum 30% award)
      • City Year Award (minimum 35% award)
      • McNair Scholars Award (minimum 30% award)
      • Peace Corps Award (minimum 30% award)
      • Posse Award (minimum 30% award)
      • Teach for America Award (minimum 30% award)
      • Fullbright Scholars (typically 50% award)

    To receive one of these awards, you must indicate on your application that you are an alum or current participant in the program and also must upload an official letter from the program that confirms your service and participation.

    If you are an alum or current participant in more than one of the seven programs listed, please indicate the program with which you have had your most recent association. You are only able to receive one scholarship.
